Emma has been successful in just about every area of the entertainment sector, whether as a multi-million selling recording artist, hitting the air-waves in her role as a DJ, or her most recent work as a television presenter and judge.
This year has already seen Emma co-found and launch ethical, eco-friendly baby care range, Kit & Kin and join ABC's huge new entertainment show Boy Band alongside Nick Carter, Timberland and Rita Ora.
You can also hear Emma across the airwaves on Heart FM with Jamie Theakston weekdays from 6am and Saturdays at 5pm.
One fifth of one of the most successful bands ever, the Spice Girls, who sold over 55 million records and 35 millions albums worldwide. They were the fastest selling UK band since The Beatles and had 9 UK Number Ones.
After the Spice Girls, Emma carved out a career as a successful solo artist, and had a string of hits including ‘Maybe’, a cover of the iconic ‘Downtown’ (the proceeds of which went to Children In Need) plus the Chart topping ‘What Took You So Long’.
When the band reformed for a re-union tour in 2007, over 3 million people registered for tickets in the space of just four weeks, with London’s O2 selling out in 37 seconds.
In January 2010 Emma made her debut as a judge on the “Ice Panel” for ITV1’s prime time show Dancing On Ice and fronted Five’s new live entertainment show, ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. The weekly show scoured Britain for all-singing, all-dancing musical groups.
The end of May in 2010 saw Emma cover for presenter Lorraine Kelly on the sofa interviewing a host of celebrity friends and guests. Such was her success that she was asked to return to the sofa in August 2010 when Lorraine was on holiday.
In 2011 Emma once again appeared in Absolutely Fabulous in the new specials that Jennifer Saunders created. She also starred in the Absolutely Fabulous Sport Relief Special in March 2012 and the film adaptation in 2016.
In 2012 Emma launched her own children’s line with Argos for babies and children aged 2 – 10.
During the London Olympics 2012 the Spice Girls reformed for the spectacular closing ceremony.
In December 2012 Emma joined her band mates at the worldwide premiere of VIVA Forever, the new Spice Girls musical. Written by Jennifer Saunders and produced by Judy Cramer – a wonderfully joyous contemporary musical about the value of friendship in the face of fame and fortune.
In the summer of 2013 Emma was a judge on the ITV show Your face Sounds Familiar and was also the face of a big UNICEF / Pampers campaign helping create awareness about MNT (Maternal and Newborn Tetanus). The campaign was a huge success and she was asked to front the same campaign again in 2014, this time she went out to see the work in Madagascar.
Last year Emma presented, Too Much TV, a weekday magazine show all about TV on BBC2.
As an actress, Emma's most recent screen credits include; DRUNK HISTORY (Comedy Central); MURDER IN SUCCESSVILLE (BBC3); JOSH (BBC3); NOT GOING OUT (BBC1) and the film version of ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.
